Where is the best place to find information on local dallas amateur golf tournaments? scrambles 4ballsetc?Clyde I've looked all over the internet and can not find any site that lists local golf tournaments in North Texas. I'm not looking for PGA or Amateur events. I'm looking for the scrambles and 4-balls that are played at local courses around this part of the state.
Demetria Try the I-tour, It is a Individual Golf Tournament around the metroplex that is available for anybody and its very competitive, plus you win money. Jus get an handicap and proof from someone and your in. Its expensive to enter and a fee every tournament you play but it helps get you an average and it compares your skills to others before steppin into the Amateur or Nationwide Tours,... because thats extremely expensive and might require a sponsor. http://www.dallasitour.com/... Hope that helps?
Meda In CT, we contact the CSGA which has a listing of all the tournaments, USGA qualifiers and state qualifiers for all of its major events. Your state organization should be the source of information. Also contact the pro at the nearest country club. He/She is usually aware of the upcoming events.
Marquerite When I signed up for updates from my local course (lake park in lewisville), I started getting tournament updates for other dfw courses. Also, golfdfw.com sends out a weekly update of tournaments. Lastly, if you have a course you like, most of them have tournament listings on their sites.
