What is the lowest round of golf any group has truthfully shot or seen in a 4 person scramble on a tpc course?
I recently played in a 4 man scramble at the Four Seasons in Dallas Texas. This is the TPC course played during the Byron Nelson Tournament. Anyone who volunteered at the tournament was able to participate in the best ball scramble. The winning team consisting of 2 women and 2 men supposed shot a 51 on the par 70 course. Just seems a little fishy to me. Making a birdie on every hole except the one they eagled!!! Come on that is a little far fetched. I'm just curious how low the scores usually drop during a scramble. This was the first I have ever played in. Definitely fun, but a little disappointing at the end when the scores are read out.

im looking for an a distance golf ball that doesent have much spin from the driver but checks up on the green with a pitch shot i dont want it too soft dont like the 3 peice much swing speed is around 90mph plays on texas courses which the greens become very fast in the afternoon
Is it okay to play best ball golf when youre not actually in a texas scramble tournament?
I'm going golfing with my hubby tomorrow. We used to go a handful of times a year (started about 6 years ago) but then I was pregant & it's tough to get a sitter for a newborn early on a Sunday morning... so we never played for the past few years. I've been 2x this year. I love it! I forgot how fun it was!!! We were never GOOD (I only drive like 100-140 yds so we play the local par 3 courses mostly - usually 9-holes and we score like 45-50 with a 10-second rule in play and a couple mutually agreed upon do-overs when we both mess up :-) I like the walk & being outdoors & the challenge of pulling the right club & then actually having a decent shot with it. I like the practice. In several years time maybe we WILL be better at it. We're thinking we should both go take a lesson or two.My question: if it's just the 2 of us, playing for fun & we both agree, could we play a best ball game or is that weird? Would it be strange seeing 2 beginners playing best ball on a course?Thanks!

What is appropriate golf attire?
I am a young professional and have a company sponsored golf outing at a master's course in Texas. The course is supposed to be pretty nice, but I haven't heard anything about a dress code. What is the most casual thing I can wear without looking trashy (jean shorts vs. canvas shorts... collared shirt vs. solid ringer teeshirt)... ? Also, I don't have (nor can afford) golf shoes. Should I wear sandals or steve madden style tennis shoes?
