How can i make money playing golf?Esther Ive asked a similar question before, but I want to get serious about golf and I want to make some money off of it, and hopefully one day go professional. Im a 20 year old living in ohio and I have a 4 handicap after playing less than a year. I want to enter ametuer tournements but I dont know how to get my foot in the door. Or how to even find local tournements aournd here. If anybody can help me please let me know, I at least want to make the money I've put into it back. Would it be better to go to a course and talk to their club professional, or what, Im clueless and its aggrivating me. Any help will be appreciated.
Kelvin go to a course and talk to the pro. also ,In the mean time, find and join tournement play the game .good luck for you

Avelina talk to a course and talk to a pro, or go to golf channel's amateur tour. goodl luck!
Kevin As an amateur you may not collect prize money, so winning money is out. You may of course gamble against other players all you want and win money that way. Your tournament schedule for next year will show up on your state association's website (Ohio Golf Assocation), but probably not until February or early March in the midwest. You may win gift certificates for merchandise as winnings in amateur events, and then if you want to sell or ebay that merchandise that is 1 way to turn your winnings into cash without running afoul of the USGA. Be advised that you must have a legitimate handicap to participate in most association sponsored events, so you will want to pay your $40 or so annual fee to your local or regular course.
