What are some good things to check out in new mexico?Leena
we are looking for something to do in New Mexico. We were planning to go to roswell and then check out white sands. after that we were going to check out the couple of ghost towns near lordsburg. any parks or neat historic sites? any unique sites or places to shop possibly? any recommendations would be appreciated just not any golf courses or wineries. thanks

Glad to see White Sands is already on your list =).I also highly recommend Carlsbad Caverns, the VLA Radio Telescope Field, and Bandelier National Monument. You can go to the following places, I highly recommend it: Bisti Badlands http://www.americansouthwest.net/new_Mexico Carlsbad Canyons http://www.nps.gov/cave/ The following places are good to visit, but you can skip it if you run out of time, Chaco Canyon and stay in BloomfieldA town called Truth or Consquences, nothing really to see, but it just sounded fun. Badland is a must visit...
