Whats the strangest thing you have had happen to you on the course?Darrick
I once hit the best drive of my life on a par 5 on a 9 hole course in Missouri.It was well over 300 yards,sitting in the middle of the fairway. After my playing partner hit his second shot,we started for my ball. As we were about twenty yards from my ball.a small dog appeared out of nowhere,grabbed my ball up in his mouth and took off with it. Do you have a funny or weird golf story?

True Story:I was in between jobs and was playing midweek golf and paired with an old retired dude. The old dude and I had the entire course to ourselves.The weather is mid 90s and high humidity around Charleston, SC. We're both walking because if you're a member at this course, you walk or else you pay a cart fee. There's a steep hill on the 7th hole and the old dude falls to one knee grabbing his chest. He then falls and lays on the hill with his feet below his head. I run over to him and do some chest compressions and blow some air in his mouth. I pour water on his head and he's dying and there was nothing I could do. He said to tell his wife he loved her and his kids that he loved them. He said this was always the way he wanted to go. Then he died.I called the clubhouse sometime during the chest compressions and talking, but it took them forever to get someone out to the 7th. I told his wife and grown kids what he told me and they were grateful.Needless to say I didn't finish my round.

Hole 12 (about 340 yds) on the course I usually play has water running along the right side of the fairway and then curves across to the left. You have to hit over the water to get to the green. One day, I hit a nice 3 wood off the tee (I'm not a long hitter but use 3 here for course management) I was left with about 150 to the green (elevated). Using a hybrid, I mishit the ball, it hit the water, skipped like a stone no less than 4 times across the pond, went up over the retaining wall, skidding up the hill, onto the green and came to rest no more than 6 inches from the pin. I made the birdie but was quite ashamed of myself for putting a 3 on the score card.

There's a hole at my course, par 5, downhill over a corner of a pond, landing area in a "valley", 150 yards back uphill, about 20ft elevation change. I'm down in the landing area one day, and hit a solid shot, but not nearly enough club. This shot goes all the way up to the top of the hill, hits the last possible tree it could have hit just off the right side of the fairway, falls, catches the cartpath, and rolls all the way down this CURVY!!! cartpath, finally rolls off onto the fairway, and continues to roll to a spot 10 yards behind where i hit the shot from. It was funny, but it really wasn't.

I had a very weird double hit shot at the 8th hole at my course. I was only about 60 yards from the flag hitting a sand wedge lob shot over a creek in front of the green. I hit the ball (not very squarely) it came off the face of the club, went almost straight up in the air, and somehow I managed to hit it again on my follow through. This was not like a TC Chen doubel hit chip shot, it was a full swing, and the second hit came with the ball above my head. The ball went into the hazard. So I had the stroke, the penatly for double hit, and then had to take another penalty drop out of the hazard, and made triple bogey.

I was hitting my third shot on a 420 par 4. My drive was around 250 and my second was well short of the green by about 75 yards. I hit my wedge and as the ball landed I heard a loud "tink". The ball came up a little short of the green,hit the rake which was laying beside the sand trap,and rolled right up to the lip of the cup. It didn't go in for the Birdie,but oh so close

One time, during a twilight league match I drilled a crow in the fairway with a bladed 4-iron and killed it dead. I was followed and berated for the next four holes by a murder of crows. They knew who I was and what I had done, and they held a grudge. No kidding.

I was at golf camp (haha i know) and i was getting ready to hit the ball, and i was really focused and then i hit the ball and it ended up hitting me it the knee... lol =]

i have two... i hit a ball off a fence post and into the hole... on a par five i hit my second shot into the 150 post and bent it...

haha mine is like yours, at my home course i had already drivin my best drive and a big brown fluffy dog came and eat my ball adn ran around the course ; D

My golf ball hit a tree and hit a goose in a lake it the goose died and drowned. LOL
