Starter golf clubs questions?

Gus
Well I know they are a bit pricey but I wanna buy my dad a starter kit of gold clubs since we just moved to Florida and we live right next to a golf course lol. I wanna spend $200 and under. So far this is the best one: http://www.golftrainingstuff.com/catalog… So I just wanna know if those are any good and if you have any other suggestions because I know absolutely nothing about Golf lol.

Christene
They should be fine for a starter set.

I know you will probably hear this a lot, but the absolute best thing to do would be to make a visit to D.icks sporting goods, or a local golf pro shop. They will ask the questions like: his age, height, etc. and point you in the right direction. You may spend between 200 and 250 dollars for a good boxed set of clubs from a sporting goods store, and much more at a pro shop. The thing is, on the internet, you never know exactly what you will get. And your dad's golf game can be influenced GREATLY by faulty or poorly crafted equipment. The clubs are the single most important part of golf. In basketball, football, soccer, etc., you can play with faulty equipment (flat balls, old cleats, etc), but in golf, without quality equipment, it is NO FUN and very difficult. You will get what you pay for. I promise. Good luck!!!

They probably are fine but here is where you need to be carefull. Swing weights are more then likely all over the page with Starter Sets or Signature Sets. However the price is attractive seeing how you can spend more then that on a single club like a driver. If I were starting out, I woudl hunt on EBAY and find a used set of PING EYE2's... He will play these for years... I would talk to the pro there at the course you live by... They will do you right..!

maybe you can have a look at golfstockonline.com, many many items for your dad. Good luck.

They looked fine, but if he wants to get good he will have to increase his budget.
