I'm from Michigan and I've played a few courses in the Sarasota area. Two of my favorites are The Legacy, an Arnold Plamer course and Waterlefe. Both are in Bradenton and a little pricey but well worth it. The River Club is also in Bradenton and is a little more forgiving and less inexpensive. Still a fun, well maintained course though.

I want to get married on a golf course with a lake or ocean view (NW Florida) There are a lot of places in my area that are perfect and I would choose any one of them. Q1. How do I go about setting that up? I don't know if the rates for golfing (per person) apply if its a wedding ceremony, or if it is different (no websites say). My parents spend the winters in Florida and I visit them each year. I always find it to be very monotonous. It seems people are leaving their home states in droves and heading to this state. I understand that other places may have colder winters, but other than sunshine I don't feel Florida has much to offer. It's flat, lots of bugs, and kind of trashy. And now with so many people EVERYWHERE you go there, it's just like any other crowded place. Crime rates are skyrocketing, and all the land is becoming golf courses, the aesthetic equivalent of a green parking lot. So is it just the weather?

Im 14, have been golfing for 8 years(like once a week in the summer) but this year ive enjoyed it alot more and i practice with the golf team with my friends 4 to 5 times a week. i recently played one of the toughest championship courses in florida(kingsway golf). i used my grandparents neighbors womens cobras for the first time and shot a 107. i even beat my dad on the front 9. i used the 107 to find my handicap and it came out to be like a 34. so am i doing well for playing on a championship course for the first time? im used to playing crappy courses in western ny

What type of pond plant is this?
I was recently traveling in northern Florida, and I noticed a type of pond plant in the golf course ponds that was abundant in shallow water.It was emergent (rooted underwater, but majority is out of the water) and flowering. The flowers were small and white, but the buds were very large, green, and round. The plant's stem was about 2 1/2 feet tall, but the leaves were only about 1 foot tall. The leaves were long, thin, and pointed, and grouped close together around the bottom of the stem. With permission, we dug a plant out to look at its roots. They were all about 1/2 a foot long, thick, and white.I can't seem to identify it at all, and I have a project on pond plants. I'd like to use this plant if I can figure out what it is.Thanks!

Im an upcoming senior in florida and by the end of my senior year my gpa will be a 4.0 weighted and 3.0 unweighted, ive taken 4 ap courses, im in 4 clubs at my school and im on the varsity golf team.
