I fish golf course lakes and i live in florida what should i use and what time should i go?Elvera I fish gold course lakes in fort myers florida and i need advice on what fishing lures to use and what time to go. if you have any answers it would be nice
Lavada Be careful of the alligators. Nearly every lake in FL has a reptilian resident.I would never go at night -- too much possibility of becoming the food myself. Although when it is cold, the reptiles try to find warm places.Mid-day, the reptiles are sunning themselves to obtain heat.Perhaps early morning, before the sun has started bringing up the temp.Stay safe.
Felipe It would be wise to fish when no one is playing golf.
Cordia I have been to Florida and i had good luck at openfield lake with the rapela yellow perch. Good fishing for bass their!
Darron first thing to do, if you haven't did it as yet, is to get permission to go on the golf course to fish.after attaining permission, find out what hours that fishing is allowed.as far as baits, keep it simple.try plastic worms or lizzards.if that doesn't work good, try a couple of top water stick baits.no need to cart around a large tackle box, just a few baits at a time.good luck
Fred I would use plastic worms and crankbaits. The earlier warning about alligators should be taken seriously (and if you get close enough to the bank you will be amazed at how fast those things can leap out of the water at you)
Amina 6 a.m., take a white and chartreuse buzz bait and make casts parallel to the bank... Bring extra set of drawers.
Carley break of day, topwater
