Good golfing in sw florida?Dee I'd like to buy a round of golf for my husband. I know NOTHING about golf. Can anyone suggest a good course in the SW Florida area?
Luvenia I know you have plenty of courses in the south FMY and Bonita area, but they are probably very expensive. I am in Charlotte County, and would recommend the following, and in this order for quality: Riverwood Golf and Country Club, Heron Creek Golf and Country Club, Kingsway Golf and Country Club, Bobcat Trail, Lemon Bay Golf Club, Rotonda Golf and Country Club(The Palms, LongMarsh, The Hills, and The Links).Email me if you want more info.
Collin SW Florida is a big place. What city? Tampa, Clearwater/Largo/St. Pete, Sarasota? Some guys will only drive an hour or so away to play one round. A little more info. could help.First link is to a Jack Nichlaus course. POSH. Don't know your budget, but, he should love you for this one. If the link doesn't work, the second goes to a main page for Fla golf. Look for link on left side South Fla/Miami. Your actual destination on that page would be Ft Meyers/Naples. There are five options. The higher the green fee, the nicer the course. Good luck.
Hui Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club in Palm Harbor about 15 miles north of Clearwater. I believe it has four or five courses now associated with the resort Copperhead being the best and host of a major PGA event. Lodging is also available on site.
Audrea 2 fun public courses I've played... Naples Beach Golf Club http://www.naplesbeachhotel.com/Eagle Lakes http://www.eaglelakesgolfclub.com/Eagle Lakes is better, but a little farther south.
Tarra What brand of clubs does your husband use now? Also you need to ask your husband if he likes this brand.
