Golfwhy do many pga pro golfers live in florida?Alice Of course I know no state income tax in Fla,but any other reasons? Location for travel? Is Florida weather a bit more comfortable than Texas? (hot and humid as crap this summer-but no state income tax!)
Kirk State income tax is a huge one. In fact many pro athletes (not golfers) reside in Florida for this very reason. For pro golfers you also have access to championship facilities, ease of travel from airports and excellent off season weather to keep their games sharp.
Kelsie One can golf and practice during the PGA off season. There are great courses that have the facilities which lend themselves to the pro golfer life style. The weather lends itself to many practice days with people of the same background. The state tax could be a factor but the climate is what the golfers prefer.
Carole Because Florida is full of Golf Courses. Naples, Florida alone has 80 Championship Golf courses.Florida is just as hot, but more humid than Texas. http://www.golflink.com/top-golf-courses…
