Golf course wedding ceremony price questions?Cathi I want to get married on a golf course with a lake or ocean view (NW Florida) There are a lot of places in my area that are perfect and I would choose any one of them. Q1. How do I go about setting that up? I don't know if the rates for golfing (per person) apply if its a wedding ceremony, or if it is different (no websites say). Yah, I could call and ask, but we don't have a date set or anything..so I'll feel like a schmuck haha anywayI only want the ceremony there. no bells and whistles decoration wise because it is so pretty already. & just closest relatives, maybe 15 people. I am just avoiding getting married in a court room. I want to wear a dress and I'll feel silly in a wedding dress in a court room..ya know? Q2. How much on average does an officiate charge? Q3. What should I expect to pay for a photographer who knows what they are doing??? I don't want pictures that look like just ANYONE could have taken them.Any helps appreciated. Thank you.
Gary 1. You'll need to contact local golf courses. Your situation is a little bit different than the average golf course wedding since you're not having a reception there. I'm actually going to assume that the fee will be pretty minimal, oh, and you shouldn't have to pay the golfing rates (green fee) per person.2. Officiant price depends on your area, my estimation is $150-$400 3. Photographer - normally $1500 - $3000 for one that "knows what they're doing." Photography prices can vary so greatly though, also, since you're not having a reception the time is a lot shorter so your cost should be less than that. You could also find someone (like a art school student) who is looking to gain experience/photos for their portfolio. Some are very good, and cost doesn't always equal quality when it comes to photography.
Darleen This is pretty funny, but yeah, you would have to call and ask. I do know two things that will help you out though.1. You cant just get married there. You would have to have your reception there and that can INCLUDE getting married there. So if you want to get married there you have to have your recepiton there. So just call for the rates for booking one of their banquet rooms.2. Greens fees dont apply to weddings. Besides, they dont marry you on the course. Its a whole seperate area. They never shut down the course, it makes way too much money off golf. And the liability if someone gets hit with a golf ball, just not good!
