Golf courses in ct?Na does anybody know any public golf courses in connecticut? thanks
Bernetta I actually live in CT and play HS golf so I've played a lot of courses. My favorite public courses have been Fox Hopyard in East Haddam (which is very expensive) Quarry Ridge In Portland (my home town) which is beautiful and well priced, and Tallwood which is semi-private. Other good pricey courses include Wintonbury Hills, Lake of Isles (the best, I've heard), Blue Fox run, Blackledge, and Tunxis Plantation. Don't play Lyman Orchards, it is poorly maintained and too expensive. But Portland Golf course, Minnechaug (Glastonbury), Hunters (Meriden/ Wallingford), and Indian Springs (Middlefield) are good courses for the price. But quarry Ridge is by far the best course for the money i've ever played. It got a 4 star rating by Golf Digest. It is a must play.I hope this helps!
