Whats the name of the golf course on the west side of the 5 in the glendale area near the colorado exit?Jenell Is it a public course?I normally only play golf when in San Diego because it's cheaper and more accessible, but I've been looking for a good, moderately challenging (I can consistently shoot about 5-10 over on executive and easy regulation courses) in LA or the valley that I can play for less than $40.
Kasi That would be Griffith park, there are 4 golf courses in the area - Wilson, Harding, Roosevelt Los Feliz - http://www.yelp.com/biz/wilson-and-hardi… http://www.yelp.com/biz/roosevelt-golf-c… http://www.yelp.com/biz/los-feliz-munici…Other nearby public courses -Scholl Canyon, Glendale http://www.yelp.com/biz/scholl-canyon-go…Arroyo Seco, South Pasadena http://www.yelp.com/biz/arroyo-seco-golf…Brookside, Pasadena (Rose Bowl area) http://www.yelp.com/biz/brookside-golf-c…Altadena Golf Course, Altadena http://www.yelp.com/biz/altadena-golf-co…Eaton Canyon, east Pasadena http://www.yelp.com/biz/eaton-canyon-gol…Rancho Park, West LA area http://www.yelp.com/biz/rancho-park-golf…Under $40 golf around LA - http://www.yelp.com/list_details?list_id…
Jammie The ones by I-5 are Wilson and Harding. ::GASP:: Has anyone else noticed that all the golf courses are named after dead presidents of the 20th century?! I think it's a conspiracy... Roosevelt, Wilson, Harding, and Coolidge (actually, Coolidge is closed now, but I like the conspiracy theory. If you want the challenge, go to Roosevelt. Even the mountain goats fall off the hilsides.
Allyn That is the Griffith Park course. It is part of the park and is run by the City of LA.
