What are the best public golf courses in california?Janetta pebble beach. very slow pace. lot of camera clicks. senior citizens. the cost is very very high . also you must be a guest of the lodge. harding park was tricked for presidents cup. under the course conditions. pga ready. us open 2 years. 2 under possible winning score. live similar water location. the air is brutal to penetrate. it requires a ball flight that is unknown to public golfers. our course 143. slope. for public play. course shorter . rough not as severe. much more room around the green. best play for harding. 64 degree wedge. Torrey pines is a great great course. any course is great. more rounds are played on this course than harding. even though on the ocean the air is lighter. not easy to score. of the three for public play. harding first pebble second. torrey third. just harding torrey very affordable golf vacation. with pebble having to be guest of the lodge. to expensive. wonder if it really is a public course no offence. or a resort course.
Allyn Of course people would mention Torrey Pines, Pebble Beach, and Harding Park. If you make 6 figures a year, you're able to play there. Let's try some that aren't near as expensive. Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara will run you about 90 bucks. Nice ocean views and very nice course. Lost Canyons in Simi Valley costs about the same. A nice course that is twice the costs of Sandpiper is Trump National in the Palos Verdes area is 195 bucks. I believe it is the only public access Trump couse not affiliated with a resort (I think). Another is the course at the Ojai Inn where the film the Michael Douglas and friends charity event.
Kit I have a pretty cool suggestion for a fun trip playing Torrey Pines. Check out www.joaniestips.com, select golf destinations, then La jolla, CA. I lived in SD.
Freeman This website gives you all the information you'll need about local golf courses, tournaments, etc... Check it out it seriously will help you alot and is cheap to join: http://tourresourcecenter.com/
Erline This is an easy one... Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines. Harding Park... where they played the President's Cup is also very nice. But Pebble and Torrey are it!
Angelyn Torrey Pines. But dont expect to play there anytime soon. If you sign up now you might get to play before the world explodes. (and no im not talking about 2012)
