Rancho Park in West LA, is one of the best courses in LA. It hosted the LA Open now the Northern Trust Open for many years. It's one of the most busiest courses in the country, so it can be hard to get in during the weekends, and there is also a 9 hole par 3 course next to the regulation course. Other courses are Penmar in Venice which is the closest one from Santa Monica which is a 9 hole executive course, and 1 hole is a par 5 for women. I was charged with felony grand theft auto for being a passenger in a golf cart?
this is really stupid. i was in California (Placer County) My buddy got permission from someone who apparently didn't own the golf cart to "take it for a spin" so we did i never drove the golf cart and 5 mins after driving it around security stopped us and accused us of stealing the golf cart... they called the cops and they arrested both my buddy and i for felony GTA... I live in sunny Southern California. Last Saturday I was on a public tennis court from 9 to 11 AM. During that time, we were the only ones playing - only 1 out of 8 courts were being used! My handicap is a 12 right now but my home course was under repair so I didn't get any course play. The handicap should go down because since the course is closed, all I do is practice and am playing way better and consistantly. My only down side is I'm pretty small and can only driver about 225-235 yards. I go to De La Salle High School in California. You know the one with the 141 game unbeaten football streak, #1 ranked football team in the country. Their Varsity won the state championship last year but I'm only trying for J.V. or Freshman.

A golf ball in a nest whats?
So, I'm playing with a friend at a course in California. This happened last spring, and we still argue the ruling. It has actually become a major thing between us, and we have recently stopped playing over the matter. But, what happened was, I hit my ball off the tee into the rough surrounding a water hazard. The course is right along a wetlands or something, and my ball, when discovered, was right inside a nest of eggs -- presumably some duck or goose or something. He claims that I MUST move the ball, since I would destroy eggs in the process of hitting, taking a penalty and drop somewhere in the rough. I thought that I could play the ball as it was and did so, destroying a few eggs. So, who was right? How many strokes would I have had to take if I moved the ball? This is ruining a good golf friendship. We need answers -- preferably sighted in the USGA rules and regs.

I was hired in April of 2009, and worked a total of three times between May 31, 2009 and June 5, 2009. I called my place of employment numerous times between June 9th, 2009, and July 4th, 2009 without any returned phone calls as to my schedule and paycheck. My father wound up calling on my behalf, since I was not receiving any acknowledgement for my phone calls, and he was told that he could pick up my paychecks since I was not in the area, as well as that he could speak to the manager (who he had spoken to via telephone) when he arrived. All managers and supervisors were absent, although my father was told to come in on a particular day. While he did pick up my past due checks, he did not get to speak to anyone as to an explanation of why my phone calls had not been returned or if I had/had not been terminated. I filed a complaint with New York State, and they reached the company that I had been employed by. Their reason for my termination was that I did not try to get in touch with them for my schedule, which is untrue (I left voicemails with my manager, as well as spoke to other staff via phone). It is now five months since I had been hired, and I still have not received a notice of termination. Since I had been told by my manager when I had been hired that my schedule might not be consistent due to the economy's current condition, and people not scheduling events as frequent as in the past, I did not seek out other employment, since I never knew when I would be due to work. I was also always notified the night before, whenever I was scheduled to work. What rights do I have as an employee that has not yet been officially notified of termination?

I'm curious, I golf several times a week at a semi-private club in southern california. Last week something odd happened. A lady who was playing a few holes behind me kept coming into my fairways and picking up my ball, inspecting it, then placing it back down. The first time I asked her kindly to not pick up my ball. I don't really care personally, but she gave me this snotty look and drove off... Okay, fine. I hit another tee shot and sure as crap this lady pops out from the previous hole and picks up my ball again, this time she tosses it down!I ride over to her, tell her to not touch my ball - to never touch anyone's balls (hah hah) unless she's absolutely sure the ball belongs to her.So it happens a third time... I call the pro shop from my cell phone, the ranger comes out and tells the lady to leave the course. Granted I play there at the least three times a week so they know me, but what sort of idiot was she? Was I wrong for having her kicked off the course
